As a specialist biomass boiler installation company, Wood Energy
brings to the table unrivalled expertise when it comes to designing
the boiler and associated specialist equipment - and, importantly,
successfully integrating this into the project.

Through a rigorous and continual design and development programme,
Wood Energy has a range of products that suit the way we design,
operate and manage buildings in the UK. The efficient use of
accumulator tank systems and interfacing with BMS systems are just
two of the ways Wood Energy offers a specialist
package.
Installation process
Biomass boilers, depending on their size and number of ancillary
items, will arrive on one or more articulated lorries. The
components of the boiler are taken from the lorry by crane and
carefully positioned on the ground for adjustment into final
position.
Once the boiler is in place, Wood Energy engineers assemble the
boiler components and dress the inner boiler block with heavy
insulation and the familiar, red outer covering. This first stage
can take from 2 days to 3 weeks to complete.
Next, the mechanical and electrical work (plumbing and electrics)
are installed, typically, this will take a few days to a couple of
weeks, again depending on the size and complexity of the
machine.
Finally, Wood Energy Ltd engineers perform detailed installation
checks and then commission the boiler to run optimally on the
fuel-type provided for the boiler.
