Binder GmbH has recently opened a new boiler test facility at their factory in Austria in support of its research and development into the use of new biomass fuels.
A 300kW Binder step-grate boiler has been installed at the factory near Graz in Austria. The system has full emissions monitoring and data logging equipment. The main focus to date has been biomass fuels from agricultural residues. This is seen as a major potential fuel source in the future UK energy mix and as such is an important development.
