• Natsley Farm, Devon. 50kW Binder chip boiler. Natsley farm is a privately owned estate in North Devon which has recently undergone major renovation. The buildings are heated with a 50kW Binder boiler with underfed hearth and 2,000 litre buffer tanks.The buffer tanks make provision for high hot water demand and also allow efficient operation under low-load conditions. The fuel store and boiler house utilise an existing barn close to the main house. The wood-chip store is above ground with dimensions 4 x 4m, giving an active volume of approximately 30m3. • Earth-Heart Housing Cooperative, 93kW Wood-Chip and Wood-Pellet Boiler A 93kW Binder wood chip and pellet boiler supplies heat and hot water for all of the houses via a pre-insulated heat main in a minidistrict heating system. The Earth Heart Housing Co-operative was established in 1997 with an aim to create a sustainable community for eight households. The community is based at Atlow Moat which is a Grade II Listed former farm complex in a remote setting. A 400kW Binder wood chip boiler heats the whole school including residential accommodation and also a local pub close to the school. A subterranean fuel store has been constructed. • Selaby Hall, 300kW Binder Boiler As part of a property refurbishment programme, a 300kW Binder boiler has been installed to heat Selaby Hall - a private residence in County Durham. The boiler was carefully installed into an existing outbuilding and now heats the Hall and swimming pool. More

• Windlestone School Windlestone School is a new-build residential school in Chilton, Co Durham. The school was completed in 2006 and was a relocation project from a 19th Century Hall to a purpose-built facility to accommodate youngsters with state-of-the-art educational and en-suite facilities. Durham County Council decided to use a 230kW Binder pellet boiler as part of their long term commitment to using carbon neutral, cost-effective heating solutions across the County. More Download PDF
